This is Colleen O’Malia Stine and I am 1 of the 2 Colleens of @MamaSaidTees. I am a certified diamond grader who once worked for the FABULOUS Tacori (yes! Like the GORGEOUS engagement rings and jewelry) turned stay at home mommy My husband would have loved for me to just stay home when we had our son, but the reality was that I needed to work to help our family financially. And so… with high hopes and big dreams… CoCo Stine Designs on Etsy was born. Over the past 2.5 years I have been able to bring in enough money to contribute to my family’s wellness AND stay at home with my babies because of Etsy & its fabulous community! I also like to think my product and customer service has had something to do with my success (Thanks to my amazing grandfather and daddy, I KNOW the importance of AMAZING customer service!)
Colleen Berkowitz was, right off the bat, an instant favorite customer. And I kept seeing her name AGAIN and again and again in my orders! It got to the point where I DEMANDED that she use a coupon code with each purchase. Come to find out she is pregnant and due with her first weeks before I was due with my 2nd! My little Maddie got a Valentines Day card from her little Aden and I got a t-shirt (DIET COKE tee!) from Colleen when I had some surgery this April. Talk about making a difference. That act of kindness made my entire WEEK. I will never forget it. Needless to say, we became more than just buyer/seller; we became friends. We exchanged numbers. I continued doing many projects for her including prints for her friends’ babies, coozie designs, invitations, etc and then I told her about an idea I had….
I told her I wanted to do t-shirts with a message. Something simple and thought about “just be tees”: Just be… honest, brave, kind, happy, etc. Well Colleen was all over it. SO all over it that she made me aware that “just be tees” or a few too close to it were taken. And so she came up with “Mama Said Tees” and I instantly fell in love. We just knew it was going to be something amazing because we REALLY believed in it! We wanted to do something exciting and different and most importantly, we wanted to sell something that we would want to buy; something we were passionate about! We sure had our eyes on the stars!!!!! And thanks to business major Colleen B, we have our feet on the ground as well… 
I’m rambling. The point is, we are SO excited to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We love dressing our kids in cute tees with clever sayings, but why not a message that’s going to make an impact. Or a phrase that makes someone’s day. Or even a REAL difference in the way we view the world?
